Slaughterhouse processes produce a number of by-products. They are treated separately.

The by-products can be divided into the following groups:
 

  • suitable for human consumption or pet food;
  • not suitable for human consumption or pet food, e.g. skin, feathers or unborn dung;
  • alimentary canal.
